How Does Tassimo Work
Tassimo’s technology is very easy to use and each beverage takes less than a minute to prepare. Based on the bar code on the T-Disc, the machine employs the precise water quantity, brewing time and temperature specified for that beverage. You simply choose your T-Disc, insert it face down in the disc holder and press the start/stop button to begin brewing. There is a short heat-up phase, followed by a “ready to brew” signal. The cleanup process is also quite simple, you simply remove and throw away the used disc. Tassimo brewers also come with a cleaning T-Disc, which can be used to run an intensive rinse cycle. Designed exclusively for Tassimo brewers, a T-Disc is a perfectly measured blend of coffee grounds, tea leaves, cocoa flavorings or real liquid milk sealed in a disposable plastic wrapping. Tassimo brewers read the bar code of any T-Disc in order to automatically determine the brew temperature and the amount of water needed in order to ensure that the beverage is perfect from one cup to another. Because each disc is individually prepared and sealed, there’s no blending of flavors and no messy cleanup. With Tassimo, you can customize the strength of the drink to suit your individual tastes.
